The ANS synthesizer was developed by a Soviet occultist in the 1930s (though not fully realized until the 1950s) in tribute to a famous atonal, avant garde composer, Alexander Nikolayevich Scriabin, and was operated by creating etchings that you then fed into the side, where a light would shine through the etchings in order to construct a tone, and the tempo would be determined by how quickly you pushed the etching in. Oftentimes, the etchings took on occult significance. In short, this is amazing, and I want one.

Ok, so let’s talk about how Youth Code have basically brought industrial/EBM back from the dead. NOT too mention they discuss extremely topical issues like misogyny, Transphobia, and animal cruelty. And how about the fact these two are just about the cutest motherfuckers out there? Can’t wait to seem them in Montreal in November!
