Northern Death Cult

Peyote Britton

When you look into my eyes,
do you see all the demons inside?
Because they’re all in there,
looking back at you.
Wondering if,
you can see them too.

When you tell me,
that you love me.
Do you love
all the demons too?
because they’re all in there,
looking back at you.
Wondering if,
you’ll love them too.

When we embrace,
do you embrace the demons too?
Because they’re all in there,
hoping to embrace you.

But do not be afraid,
they mean no harm.
They just need recognition,
no need for an alarm.
Cause they’re all in there,
looking back at you.
Hoping to recognize,
some demons in you.

And when they do,
find some demons in you.
It’ll be the best chance,
at love and romance.
Cause they’re all in there,
looking back at me,
looking back at you.
Hoping to find,
some love and romance too.

Because if you love me,
you’ll have to love them too.
And if I love you,
I’ll have to love your demons too.
Because our most common ground,
is the demons we keep around.
They show us where we’ve been,
and show us where we can go.

Cause they’re all in there,
looking back at you,
looking back at me.
Wondering if,
we’ll set them free.
And escape our shackles,
to be the best.
The absolute best
that we can be.

Sometimes - well, let’s say all times - things are changing. We are judged as human beings on how we treat our fellow human beings. How do you treat your fellow human beings? At night, just before sleep, as you lay by yourself in the dark, how do you feel about yourself? Are you proud of your behavior? You know in your heart if you have hurt someone - you know. If you have hurt someone, don’t wait another day before making things right. The world could break apart with sadness in the meantime.

The gods envy us. They envy us because we’re mortal, because any moment may be our last. Everything is more beautiful because we’re doomed. You will never be lovelier than you are now. We will never be here again.
